Algerian Interior Minister Yazid Zerhouni met with his Moroccan counterpart Ahmed Midaqui in Rabat Thursday during a "working visit" that may include discussions on reopening their common border.
"There will be no limit to our discussion," Zerhouni said upon his arrival at the Rabat airport.
"Give us time to converse and we will tell you later if we spoke of reopening the Algeria-Morocco land border," Zerhouni told reporters.
Bilateral relations deteriorated in 1994 when Franco-North African Islamists attacked a Marrakesh hotel. Two Spanish tourists died in the attack and the border has remained closed since then.
