ALBAWABA - According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, Almagor Terror Victims Association filed a petition with the Supreme Court against the hostage swap deal with Hamas.
The right-wing association submitted a petition Wednesday to the Supreme Court against the implementation of a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that despite the petition, "it is unlikely that the Supreme Court will cancel the agreement".
In a deal announced on Wednesday, Hamas and the Israeli government have reached a 4-day truce agreement. The truce conditions Hamas to release 50 Israeli hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that a deal was approved by the Israeli Cabinet under which 50 hostages consisting of children, mothers, and elderly women held by Hamas in Gaza will be released in exchange for a cease-fire lasting for four days.
The government provided a 24-hour window beginning early Wednesday for petitions to be filed with the Supreme Court before the deal takes effect officially.
The official timing of when the truce will take effect has been halted as both parties have yet to fully agree on the final touches of the deal.
On Oct. 7, Hamas captured 239 Israelis from settlements and military points in the vicinity of Gaza, including high-ranking military personnel, with the aim of exchanging them for the more than 7,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

As of the latest statistics by the media office in Gaza, has risen to 14,532, including over 6,000 children and 4,000 women. The office put the number of injuries at more than 35,000, saying more than 75% of them are children and women.
