ALBAWABA - New film of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military arm, demonstrating their actions against Israeli troops and vehicles during the recent raid into northern Gaza's Beit Hanoun was published on Sunday.
Part of the series "Ambushes of Death in Beit Hanoun: The Witness and the Evidence," the film documents events that took place between January 8 and January 15, 2025.
The video shows a variety of actions, such as the explosion of a minefield that had been pre-planned to target Israeli soldiers and vehicles and the demolition of a Merkava tank, which killed its crew members when the turret was blasted off. Other sequences include rocket and missile attacks on Israeli troops sheltered in trucks and houses, as well as an anti-personnel bomb that killed four soldiers, including the deputy commander of the "Nahal" Brigade. Additionally emphasized are Israeli troops' attempts to rescue the remains of their dead soldiers and sniper assaults.
Operations from December 29, 2024, to January 7, 2025 were covered in the first installment of the series, which was published last Friday. Significant casualties were earlier reported by Israeli media, including the death of 15 troops in a week and the death of an entire unit from the "Nahal" Brigade at Beit Hanoun.
With nearly 840 troops and commanders dead since October 7, 2023, including 405 after the ground assault started on October 27, these activities add to the growing number of Israeli forces murdered.
In the meanwhile, Egypt, Qatar, and the United States are mediating a truce in Gaza that started last Sunday. Negotiations for further stages are still underway, and the first phase is anticipated to last 42 days.
