An eight-person American Congress delegation is on the second of an eight-day visit to Morocco at the initiative of the advocacy committee of the American United Nations Population Fund (UNPF), Panafrican News Agency (PANA) reported.
The Moroccan public television (TVM) reported that the congressmen would examine the kingdom's progress in population matters.
Among issues to be studied will be women's health care, including genetically transmitted diseases, childbearing, obstetric care, women's empowerment and literacy tuition, the television added.
The congress delegation would visit the Marrakech and Ouarzazate regions in southern Morocco to assess the progress of projects aimed at achieving sustainable human development, said the agency – Albawaba.com
