Angela Chao, Mitch McConnell’s sister-in-law, had a blood alcohol level 3 times above legal limit in fatal accident, police report shows.

Angela Chao, the CEO of the Foremost Group and sister-in-law to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, was intoxicated when she died in a car accident last month, according to a police report released by the Blanco County Sheriff's Office.

The report states that Ms. Chao's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit in Texas at the time of the crash.  She had been dining with friends at a ranch before the accident.

The investigation concluded the crash was an unfortunate accident.
