Angham Mohammad Ali, one of Egypt’s most celebrated artists of modern day time, caused an uproar at the Floating Theater of Cairo, when the songstress decided to leave to London on the same day of the performance, reported Al-Ahram newspaper. One big problem is that the actress failed or forgot to tell her fans!
Alongside another famous actor/singer, Ali Hajjar, the actress was scheduled to present the duo’s famous ‘Rasasah Fil Qalb.’ The play, written by famous actor Tawfiq El Hakim, takes on various themes including those of friendship and sacrifice for love.
According to Al-Ahram, the Theater’s Administration was forced to refund the audience, who waited for more than an hour and a half before being informed that the show would not go on.
At a later time, the Theater’s administration found out that Angham had traveled to London at the time the show was to start, prompting them to cancel shows for the next day too.
The performance was scheduled to take place following a showing at the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts—Albawaba.com.
