ALBAWABA - Gazan groups released a statement today, honoring the anniversary of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation on October 7, 2023, confirming their resistance to Israeli oppression.

They stressed that the Palestinian people's armed fight for liberation and an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is a legitimate right. The groups stressed that the resistance is robust and coordinated across battlefronts.

The groups commended the Palestinian people's perseverance and the resistance's battle against Israeli attempts to destroy Palestinian identity and existence in their statement.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance started the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, infiltrating various Israeli settlements surrounding Gaza with synchronized land, sea, and air strikes.

The groups reiterated that only the Palestinian people can determine their destiny after the war. They also opposed foreign involvement, saying Palestine's future will be decided at the bargaining table.

The factions stated that no agreement or truce would be reached without an end to Israeli aggression, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the reopening of all border crossings, the lifting of the siege, and a commitment to rebuilding war-torn areas. They also demanded a serious prisoner swap to liberate all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

The groups encouraged Palestinians throughout the West Bank, Jerusalem, and other occupied regions to escalate their resistance, including via violent struggle, in support of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

They also warned that any attempt to establish an alternative Gazan government would be hostile, like the Israeli occupation.

Arab and Islamic countries were encouraged to organize quickly to attack Israeli interests and stop the Gaza "genocide" in a larger demand. They sought international involvement and accountability for Israel.

The message thanked Palestinians and other national organizations opposing Israeli intentions for their resilience.

Diplomatic talks to settle the war and swap prisoners between Israel and Hamas continue. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has added constraints that hamper their attempts.

Israel wants to control the Philadelphi Corridor, a buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt, and prevent Palestinian fighters from returning to northern Gaza. Hamas rejects these criteria and demands a complete Israeli withdrawal and end to the fighting before reaching a solution.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Mossad Chief David Barnea cautioned that these criteria might postpone any deal.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has bombarded Gaza, killing nearly 138,000 Palestinians, including thousands of women and children. Over 10,000 individuals are missing, and infrastructural collapse has caused serious shortages of essential needs.
