The ‘Shop and win Millions’ Campaign, organized by the Dubai Summer Surprises Office in coordination with Dubai Shopping Malls Group, is still spreading cheer amongst shoppers from different nationalities. The campaign is witnessing a rise in the number shoppers who are thronging to shop in participating outlets through biggest shopping malls in Dubai.
Mr. Eisa Adam Ebrahim, President of DSMG, drew the winning coupon at Dubai Festival City this evening, and commented: “The ‘Shop and win Millions’ Campaign has been very successful in attracting shoppers from all over the world. During the 5th week of the campaign more than 364,000 coupons have been sold, increasing the number of coupons sold since its beginning to 1,356,000 slips, which is around 36,700 coupons per day since the launch of the campaign. ‘
Abdulla Amiri, Senior Services & operations Coordinator, DSS Office said: “The ‘Shop and win Millions’ Campaign, the biggest retail promotion since DSS inception in 1998, is achieving its goals in increasing sales in participating shops. The campaign has made the dreams of six people become a reality and there is a chance for another four to win 500,000 AED each during the remaining next four weeks of the campaign.”
Another winner this week walked away with 500,000 dirhams at the DSS weekly raffle. Mrs. Rukashna Afzal from Pakistan added her recorded her name as the 6th lucky winner of the grand prize.
The winner said, “This is an outstanding surprise. I never expected one day I would win such a grand prize. When I received the coupons I did not even want to fill them believing that I would never be that lucky, today I am grateful to God that I took a couple of minutes to fill the slips. I am simply speechless and I cannot describe what I am feeling now. “Rukashna Afzal” filled in the coupon at Dubai Festival City during her recent visit to the mall.
The winning coupon this week was coupon number /1923246/. Shoppers at all 21 participating DSS malls will get one raffle coupon for every 200 dirhams worth of purchases. Purchases made using MasterCard credit cards will automatically receive three coupons for every two hundred dirhams. Throughout the DSS period, winners shall be announced every Thursday evening, between five and five-thirty, at different participating malls. The next draw will be held at Ibn Batuta Mall on August 9th 2007. The winners of the raffle are also announced live on TV by Sama Dubai.
