A Palestinian teenager was shot and seriously injured after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack which injured two Israelis on Monday in East Jerusalem, Israeli police and media reported.
Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said that there was a "stabbing attack" next to Israeli police headquarters in Jerusalem, located in Sheikh Jarrah, and the "terrorist" was shot at the scene by police officers.
Israeli media reported that the teenager, who is reportedly 15, was "neutralized" without providing further details on her condition, while two Israelis were said to be injured, with no further details.
A photo from Hebrew-language site 0404 appears to show the unidentified teenager wearing a school uniform.
Earlier, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in East Jerusalem after an alleged stabbing attempt on border police officers, Israeli police said.
Israeli news site the Times of Israel reported that border police asked a Palestinian man to take his hands out of his pockets after becoming suspicious, at which point the suspect attempted to attack the officer, hitting his protective vest.
The attacker was then shot multiple times.
Palestinian witnesses told Ma'an that there was no attempted stabbing at the time of the shooting, and the man was killed as he was walking in the area.
The suspect was identified as Mustafa Adel al-Khatib, 18.
The latest death brings the total number of Palestinians killed to 25 since the beginning of October.
