The UAE will host the first Arab youth judo championship March 10-11 at al Nasr club in Dubai.
Ali Rashed al Jarwan, the championship manager, said that the following teams have so far pledged to participate: Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Algeria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco and the host state team, the UAE. He added that the competition for females under age 17 will consist of 5 teams -- Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon and the UAE, al Khaleej daily reports.
The companies that already promised their sponsorship to this competition are Dubai Free Market, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Emirates airline, Dubai National Bank and more.
