Arab League Denounces Israeli Acts against Palestinians as War Crimes

The Arab League in Cairo denounced Wednesday the Israeli atrocities against Palestinians as 'war crimes' and called on the international community to exert pressure on the Jewish state to end its criminal attacks against Palestinians, reported Iranuan news agency (IRNA).  

According to Cairo Radio, the Arab League called on Israel to pay compensation to the Palestinians for material damages and loss of life during the last few days. 

The council, in a statement following its urgent meeting held at the level of permanent representatives, also called on Israel to release all Palestinian prisoners, halt construction of Jewish settlements in Jerusalem, the west bank and Gaza Strip, as well as respecting peace accords, according to Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA).  

The League called on Israel to immediately halt its aggression against the Palestinian people “or else it will call on the UN Security Council to hold a special session on this issue,” said IRNA.  

Meanwhile, clashes between Palestinians and Zionist soldiers continued in several Palestinian cities today. Five Palestinians have been martyred and over 400 Palestinians injured till now after widespread protest demonstrations broke out across the West Bank and Gaza on Monday marking the 52nd anniversary of the usurpation of Palestine by the Jews, or Nakba – (Several Sources)
