An emergency meeting of Arab parliamentarians to discuss the Palestinian crisis will be held in Sanaa on June 11, said a Yemeni lawmaker on Thursday.

All Arab countries have agreed to send representatives to the two-day meeting, entitled Round of Supporting Palestinian Intifada, Yemeni Parliament Speaker Abdullah Al Ahmer told the official Yemeni news agency, Saba.

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa will top the list of participants, in addition to representatives of various Islamic parliaments, he added.

“The hosting of this round in Sanaa reflects Yemen's interest in the Palestinian issue out of feelings of responsibility towards the Palestinian people,” he said.

He hoped the meeting would have “fruitful and honorable outcomes that reinforce Arab dignity in the face of Israeli arrogance.” – Albawaba.com
