Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat confirmed Friday in Gaza City an order from a security body he heads to halt Palestinian fire on Israeli targets.
"We try with all of our efforts to prevent any person of our people to shoot and this is a clear order from the High Security Council," Arafat said in a taped television interview viewed by AFP.
The order confirmed an earlier report of a call by the Palestinian leader to halt shooting at Israelis from Palestinian-controlled areas -- GAZA CITY (AFP)
