Syrian President Bashar al-Assad underscored Monday the need to activate the European role in this stage, pointing out to the halt of the peace process and increase of terrorism and extremism.
Meeting the Chairman of Spanish Senate, Francisco Javier Rojo Garcia and an accompanying delegation at al-Shaab Palace, President al-Assad talked about the peace process in the Middle East, the ongoing modernization and reform process in Syria, the Syrian-Spanish relations as well as the Syrian-European partnership, SANA reported.
