Presidents Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Bashar al-Assad of Syria are expected to hold talks in Cairo Monday on developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in Iraq, an official in the Egyptian capital said, cited by AFP.
The two are especially set to discuss the US-backed roadmap peace plan which both Israelis and Palestinians are working on implementing. The last meeting between the two leaders was held in Damascus on April 20. (Albawaba.com)
