Assad warns against conspiracies, stresses Israel factor

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad underlined Thursday that campaigns and pressures against the Arab nation in general and Syria in particular during the past few years "are very dangerous in the sense that they target the moral and psychological aspects of the Arab citizen."

 

"The campaign comes in the framework of  a cultural and psychological warfare that target particularly our youth generation to separate them from their history, heritage and identity and make them lose confidence in their nation," President Assad said in his address on Thursday.

 

He added that the Israeli factor was present in all events in the region and the developments of events have proven that Israel was the most noticeable active factor and the biggest beneficiary from those events. "The latest events have witnessed unprecedented distortion through unlimited series of lies and black propagandas which unveil bad intentions and ambitions hidden behind," the Syrian leader added.

 

He also stressed that the "will of steadfastness and challenge" is a Syrian national heritage moving from one generation to another and it is being developed by the development of the generations through acquiring of more knowledge and science.

 

“We are facing the challenges with the spirit of the age and we will defeat them by the strength of the generation, and determination of our fathers and grandfathers and through the link between our past and our future”, Assad said.
