GITEX Participation Underlines Commitment to Region

8-12 September 2007, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre
Stand No. Z-D3, Zabeel Hall

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced that AT&T will exhibit at this year’s GITEX show, a further sign of AT&T’s commitment to developing business in the Middle East. As one of the world’s fastest growing economies undergoing tremendous development, AT&T is seeing an increased demand from its global customers to provide services in the region.

Alongside the event, AT&T is also hosting a Regional Advisory Council (RAC) meeting, which will bring together some of AT&T’s most important and influential customers who have a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Representatives from a total of 21 organizations will be attending the meeting to discuss strategies and opportunities in the Middle East.

AT&T is returning to GITEX for a third consecutive year and will demonstrate its advanced range of Internet Protocol (IP)-based communications services for multinational customers. As part of an ongoing strategic investment, AT&T is extending its network services in the region to provide key access technologies, such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DSL and new wireless options.

Following participation at GITEX in 2006, AT&T has invested in a number of initiatives that have led to an increased presence in the Middle East. Two new nodes are now fully operational in United Arab Emirates and Qatar, with a third node currently being deployed in Saudi Arabia. AT&T also announced the opening of new regional headquarters in Dubai in order to work with key local AT&T partners and customers more effectively. The announcement that Qtel, one of the region’s leading communications providers, has taken an equity stake alongside AT&T in NavLink has strengthened the relationship with these key partners.

AT&T provides advanced communications services to global multinational customers and offers consistent, resilient and standardised IP services to business customers around the world. These services include IP-based Virtual Private Networks (VPN) that use the latest Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology and are complemented by an advanced portfolio of data-hosting services and leading IP security offerings.
