United Arab Emirates, 7th of March 2007- Students of the American University in Dubai (AUD) visited the iconic Index development at Dubai International Financial Centre.
This visit was organized by Union Properties, one of the UAE’s leading property investment developers, together with EDARA L.L.C, a major project management company based in Dubai.
The guided tour was conducted by Mr. Daimon Poole, Structural Manager, from Nasa Multiplex, Mr. Fadi Sayegh, Project Manager, from Union Properties, Ms. Maha Badr, Senior Project Manager, from EDARA L.L.C in the presence of Dr. Ahmad Bassioun, Assistant Professor in AUD’s Engineering School.
Dr Alaa Ashmawy, Dean of Engineering at AUD said that "Field trips are becoming an integral part of our students' educational experience. Through such activities, they are exposed firsthand to real-life engineering practice, and are updated on local and global advances in the engineering field."
The students expressed their satisfaction with the visit and considered it to be a great learning experience. They were impressed with the iconic development of the project which gave them a lot to think about back in their lecture rooms.
