Automechanika Middle East 2010, the leading auto aftermarket exhibition in the re-gion to be held from May 25 to 27, 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre will take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Airline.

He noted that regionally, the exhibitions industry has played a significant role in the process of diversifying from the economic dependence on oil and that the benefits that staging one of these exhibitions brings to the evolving regional economies is immense – with future employment prospects, lesser dependency on oil and gas revenues and private sector involvement being key development issues.
