Axis launches Online Housing Configurator
New tool for system integrators and consultants allows considerable time and cost savings for security surveillance installations

The housing configurator provides the user with a step-by-step guide to selecting the correct housing, brackets and the respective accessories. The housing configurator is unique to the industry and allows important time and cost savings during both, the product selection and the installation processes.
When a system integrator, consultant or specifier is looking for specific housing solutions using Axis’ Network cameras the user will only need to provide key information relating to the purchase. The process is simple and is as follows.
Firstly the user will need to state the country the installation is being planned – this is important and will significantly affect the installation process, as a lot of variations need to be taken into consideration, for example climate and regulation.
With specific country information and other important factors including the planned location, application and the preferred placement, the user is then presented with a choice of possible housings and their accessories. In the last step, you can choose the brackets that are recommended with this configuration and then receive a list of all necessary parts for the installation, including cables and power supply. To give maximum piece of mind for the user, the complete list of parts with different options, product names and numbers can be downloaded as a pdf file for easy inclusion within a tender or a specification document.
