Babyshop awarded ‘Superbrand’ title

Babyshop, the leading retailer in children’s items has been awarded ‘SUPERBRAND’ status for 2010 by Superbrands organization in the UAE.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Saxena, marketing manager of Babyshop stated, “This is an extremely proud moment for Babyshop! We have been working consistently with the single minded focus to create a brand that stands for quality, variety, accessibility and excellent customer service. Winning the Superbrands title is adds a glorious feather to our retail cap!”

Mike English, Director, Superbrands Middle East, the independent authority and arbiter of branding excellence said, “Babyshop has established itself as a formidable retailer in the children’s sector. The phenomenal growth of the brand across the region and its focus on high quality standards in every aspect has earned it the Superbrands title.”

Superbrands is committed to paying tribute to exceptional brands and promoting the discipline of branding. After reviewing hundreds of brands through a demanding and meticulous evaluation and rating process, 62 have been shortlisted to be awarded the Superbrands seal of excellence in branding at the upcoming Tribute event.

Babyshop will also be listed in the much coveted 6th edition of the coffee-table style Superbrands book, which includes a two-page profile of each of the Superbrands. The book is a compilation of important information of various homegrown and international brands. Babyshop will also attend the upcoming high profile Tribute event to receive its Superbrand trophy. The event is slated to be a premier event to be attended by Chief Executives and Managing Directors probably becoming the largest gathering of senior brand guardians.

The Superbrands organisation was originally set up in London in 1994 where it published the first Superbrands book. Since then it has expanded its operations to 85 countries worldwide. Superbrands publishes a series of books including Superbrands, Business Superbrands (on B2B brands), Cool Brands and eBrands - making the series of books the largest collection of insights into some of the greatest brands in the world. To date over 10,000 individual brands have been featured worldwide.
