The operation to recover the bodies of 118 Russian sailors from the Kursk submarine has been postponed until next week due to bad weather, news agencies quoted Deputy Prime Minister, Ilya Klebanov, saying Wednesday.
A team of Norwegian, British and Russian divers were due to start the hazardous operation this week, but Klebanov said a storm in the Barents Sea had made it necessary to delay the salvage effort until next Tuesday or Wednesday.
