Baghdad: Three dead in blast near offices of Shiite party

A suicide car bomber activated a large bomb Tuesday outside the offices of a leading Shiite political party, killing two other people, police and witnesses said.

 

The driver of the Chevrolet Caprice slammed his bomb-laden vehicle into a pickup truck that was used to block the road leading to the political party's office and detonated the explosives, said police Maj. Raed Nassab. According to The AP, Two guards were killed, he said.


The attack took place in the capital's Jadriyah district and left the two vehicles in flames near the offices of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq.
