Bahrain and Kuwait agreed on Monday to set up a supreme committee to boost diplomatic ties, during a visit by Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al Khalifa to Kuwait.
The minister held talks with Kuwait’s emir, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, as well as with Crown Prince Saad Al Abdullah Al Sabah, said the Gulf Daily News.
The minister said that his country vowed to “stand firmly behind Kuwait in its fight for justice over missing Gulf War POWs.”
It added that the minister conveyed a message to Sheikh Jaber from the Bahraini emir, Sheikh Hamd Al Khalifa, concerning bilateral ties.
