Bahrain and Oman on Tuesday strongly denounced the terrorist attacks on the US as a “dire threat” to regional and world peace and stability.
In a joint statement, Bahrain’s emir, Sheikh Hamd Al Akhalifa, and Sultan Qaboos affirmed the importance of standing alongside the US and international community to punish all those who support and sponsor terrorism, reported the Gulf Daily News.
The sultan arrived in Manama earlier Tuesday for a three-day visit.
Both leaders discussed Bahrain-Oman relations, GCC developments and the Palestinian crisis.
Reviewing the terrorist attacks against US military and economic installations, the two leaders reiterated their condemnation of such terrorist acts and their critical consequences that do not serve security, peace and stability in this region and in the whole world, said the statement.
The two leaders reviewed issues that concern the GCC countries and the path of the council, asserting the need to enhance its march in various political, economic, military, security, cultural and social fields – Albawaba.com
