National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has been named “The Best Bank in the Middle East for 2008” by the renowned “The Banker”, an affiliate of the International Financial Corporation, at a special ceremony recently held in London to award best bank worldwide. Winning this prestigious reward is another testament to the leading position NBK enjoys region wise. NBK has been considered the best bank in Kuwait and the highest rated in the Middle East.
While receiving the award on behalf of NBK, NBK Group Chief Executive Officer Ibrahim Dabdoub has expressed his appreciation & gratitude for the support rendered by the bank’s shareholders, board of the directors & employees throughout the past years, which has been crowned with this remarkable achievement.
Dabdoub said that the winning of this versatile award on the domestic and regional levels emphasizes NBK’s strong leadership among Arab banks, and demonstrates its remarkable banking and financial solid position as well as its strong financial competitive capabilities.
