Bankruptcy Fears a Bitter Pill for Moroccan Pharmacies

Many Moroccan pharmacies risk bankruptcy because of falling annual turnovers, an industry official warned on Monday. 

Abdelkerim Alaoui, head of the Moroccan regional council of pharmacists, told the Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP) that the reasons for the crisis were lower purchasing power, a lack of medical coverage and higher taxes.  

Alaoui called on the authorities to act to protect the sector and allow it play its social and economic role – Albawaba.com
