Syrian authorities on Saturday began removing portraits of President-Elect Bashar Assad from all public places, libraries and newspaper shacks upon instructions from the president himself, sources told Albawaba.com
According to the sources, officials who were executing the orders were telling citizens that a presidential decree, to be issued soon, will ban posting personal photos of the president, except in government departments - Albawaba.com
