batelco’s 2nd ‘interdepartmental bowling tournament’ a great success
Kamal Jamal, Bader Ruwaihi, Medel Salzaro & Mohd Abbasi take top honours!
Batelco, the Kingdoms leading Telecommunications Company, successfully completed its 2nd Interdepartmental Bowling Tournament at the Funland Bowling Centre, Manama, recently. The tournament, which is set to become a regular feature on Batelco’s calendar of sporting events, was keenly contested between 20 teams, within the various departments.
The Sales Support team, led by Kamal Jamal along with Bader Ruwaihi, Mohd Abbasi and Medel Salzaro, were crowned champions. The second place went to Consumer Unit, comprising Ali Aqeel, Ali Abbas, Hussain Makhlooq and A. Rahaman Aqeel, while the Mobile Network foursome Mahmood Al Zera, Ali Qumaish, Amjad Al Nail and Hussain Swar came third.
Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa – GM Human Resources and Government Relations, congratulated the winning departments and presented them with trophies at a ceremony held at the Centre.
“Batelco, apart from supporting various sporting teams & activities, here in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has also been ensuring excellent team building activities for its strong workforce of over 1600 employees,” said Shaikh Ahmed.
