Global digital lifestyle solutions leader, BenQ, continues to lead the Middle East display market with the launch of its new 24 inch wide-screen FP241W LCD monitor – the world's first computer display that supports High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) of 1080p.
Surrounded by a remarkably slim bezel, the silver-black monitor is Windows Vista-certified and its screen’s height and orientation can be freely adjusted for an ideal viewing angle. The FP241W also features improved versions of Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA), Black Frame Insertion (BFI) and BenQ’s patented Senseye technology at a competitive price.
“The FP241W LCD monitor combines multiple functionalities with sleek design for a variety of PC and home entertainment uses,” said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ, Middle East & Africa.
The screen’s 6 ms response time, with no visual aberrations, resolution of 1920 x 1200 and an impressive 1000:1 contrast ratio makes the monitor highly recommendable for fast-moving games.
“While the monitor has the versatility to adapt to any video signal, it is also ideal for home entertainment, presentations or designing purposes,” added Bakshi.
HDMI allows for uncompressed data transfer of video between a digital TV and HDMI-enabled consumer electronics devices and BFI eliminates ghosting effects, making objects sharper by inserting black frames between images displayed.
“At BenQ, we believe in continuously striving for innovative ways to enhance people's lifestyles by delivering top-end solutions at attractive prices,” said Robert Dung, Managing Director, BenQ, Middle East & Africa.
“BenQ is currently the third largest LCD monitor vendor in the Middle East with a 14 per cent market share. We are confident our new display solutions, featuring the latest technologies, will help further boost our regional market share.”
The 176 degree wide-viewing angle monitor’s Picture in Picture feature allows users to view video from two sources simultaneously, for example, from a DVD player and from a PC. The monitor has three inbuilt USB ports and its user controls have been placed on the right-hand side of the display.
Other BenQ LCD monitors that have HDMI and BFI technology are FP94VW; FP22WH; FP241WZ and FP93GX.
