BenQ-Siemens, the innovative mobile communication solutions provider, sponsored India Day 2006 organised by the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), Dubai, to celebrate India’s 60th Independence Day on the 15th of August at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. The event was attended by the Consul General of India, Y. K. Sinha and over 300 members of IBPC. BenQ-Siemens organised a raffle draw during the event and gave away their latest range of mobile phones as prizes to the winners.

The volume of trade between the two countries is also growing rapidly, with 2004-2005 statistics suggesting a bilateral trade of US$ 11.92 billion. Moreover, UAE is considered the sixth largest exporter of products and services to India and the largest destination for Indian exports during 2004 and 2005.
