Bid to renew festival in Jamila region

Jamila region in the northern Algerian province of Setif will host a music festival, which will last until August 24. Many popular Algerian singers and bands have already confirmed their participation, reported the August 18 edition of <i>Al-Khabar</i> newspaper. The festival, organized by the National Office for Culture and Information (ONCI) and under the patronage of the governor of Setif Province, is considered an experimental attempt toward future renewal of this international festival, which was held traditionally in this region in the past.
