In an effort to strengthen the prevention health measures amongst the UAE general public, BinSina Pharmacy has initiated an awareness campaign at the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Exhibition "Duphat 2008" at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
"Being the region's premier pharmaceutical event, we felt it is imperative to participate at this year's Duphat show. Our commitment to improving the pharmaceutical sector in the region stems from our solid position as the Middle East’s leading pharmacy," said Ayman Hanbali, Marketing Manager, BinSina Pharmacy.
BinSina Pharmacy demonstrated its leading position as one of the early adopters of latest information technology solutions to revolutionize both the healthcare system and the nation's pharmaceutical supply chain, for better pharmaceutical and healthcare services in the region.

Hanbali added: "Our participation at this year's Duphat comes at a time where we have opened a new store in Dubai Outlet Mall to meet the demands of the UAE healthcare market. We will display at the Show our series of initiatives in deploying an automated Pharmacy Management System (PMS) and labeling system in all our outlets around the UAE. We firmly believe that having an electronic medication record for every individual is a critical step towards achieving true healthcare excellence through giving its pharmacists real-time data that ensure safety and efficiency. With many customers in the UAE relying on different medications, a BinSina pharmacist has an accurate and up-to-date medication list for every patient to avoid the potentially harmful effects of a negative drug interaction and to check contraindications between old and new medications."
BinSina Pharmacy has also conducted live presentations on health stories, tips, and advice via high-end plasma screens showing how to live a healthier life via the network of outlets in the UAE.
Hanbali added: "The UAE is setting trends in providing best healthcare standards on a public and private level, not only for the growing population within the country but also for patients from across the region seeking the best medical facilities. In this respect, we have launched an awareness broadcast campaign at our 30 outlets in the UAE to enhance interaction with our customers."

As the oldest pharmacy operator in the UAE, BinSina has 5 million customers visiting its pharmacies each year and serves up to 14,000 customers a day.
Building on the success of the last 12 editions, Duphat has the recognition and support of the premier international organizations represented by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS), European Society of Clinical Pharmacists (ESCP), Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SPHA), International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring & Clinical Toxicology (IATDMCT), Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA), International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), Utrecht University, The Netherlands, European Society of Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP) and Monash University, Australia along with local government bodies represented by the Dubai Health Authority.
Hanbali added: "Duphat is firmly set on our events calendar due to its premiership position in the region. The show aims to provide the healthcare specialists with professional information on pharmaceutical products, medical equipments and laboratories as well as wellbeing related issues in an ideal environment."
Also at the exhibition, BinSina Pharmacy has conducted its awareness campaign about diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity, which it has held in association with the UAE Ministry of Health. The pharmacy has conducted more than 8200 medical tests up to date, in order to make diagnoses of the ‘lifestyle diseases’ previously mentioned. This is helping individuals to seek early preventative treatment.
