Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak starts Sunday a visit to the United Kingdom for talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair at his rural residence in Kent on issues of mutual concern, the latest developments of the peace process, the situation in Iraq, reform initiatives, Arab and international initiatives together with bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
Sources said President Mubarak's meeting with the British Prime Minister would give an impetus to efforts exerted for halting violence in the occupied lands, inviting the Israeli and Palestinian parties to the negotiations table, implementation of the road map peace plan and the need for international community's support for restoring sovereignty to Iraq and mitigating the sufferings of the Iraqi people.
