Blue Coat Wins Networking Vendor of the Year 2010 Award in the Middle East

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that it has been awarded 'Networking Vendor of the Year 2010' at the Reseller Middle East awards function held at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel in Dubai on May 30th 2010. The award recognizes Blue Coat for outstanding technology and solutions, value-added services and solid commitment to the channel and end-users in the region and reflects the popularity and esteem that Blue Coat has achieved among resellers, distributors and customers in the Middle East market.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Juergen Ruthotto-Doubek, Director, Channel Sales EMEA at Blue Coat Systems said, "It is with great pride and honour that we accept the award, particularly considering we were up against several global networking giants. Blue Coat recently has made several enhancements to its existing products, including expanding its hybrid Secure Web Gateway solution with new models of ProxySG® and ProxyAV™ appliances, providing new cloud-based defenses in the Blue Coat WebPulse™ service and providing extended remote user protection through ProxyClient™ software. It also enhanced its Blue Coat® WebFilter database to provide IT managers with more granular control over Web-based multimedia applications and greater proactive protection against Web-based threats.

Blue Coat's channel sales partners are supported by its Channel Advantage Program, which was started in 2008 to help Blue Coat partners deliver better value to their customers by providing the right mix of tools throughout the entire sales cycle.
