Bobby Brown Released From Jail

After serving a 75-day sentence, R&B singer Bobby Brown was released, Thursday night, according to the Associated Press.

The welcome party at the North Broward Detention center was not, however, an ordinary one.

Bad Boy Bobby Brown was greeted by wife Whitney Houston, comedian friend Chris Rock and a crowd of fans, supporters and reporters, reported AP.

Brown was serving his sentence after repeatedly violating his parole on a 1996 drunk driving conviction.

Prior to his release, long time friend Rock led a horde of sign holding supporters outside the prison.

Rock also organized a mock vigil to “free Bobby Brown and was taping a segment for his HBO show.

Surprisingly, Brown’s release came 10 days before the full completion of his sentence due to “good behavior.”

Brown’s first arrest came in August 1996 when he crashed his wife’s black Porsche around a signpost in Hollywood.

Blood-alcohol tests showed that Brown was nearly three times over the legal limit.

Following his release, the 33-year-old singer told the crowd: “Don’t mess up in Broward County”—
