Two bomb blasts killed two people and injured 20 others in Indonesia's riot-torn eastern city of Ambon in the Maluku islands, a report said Monday.
A bomb exploded inside an electric appliance store in downtown Ambon, killing the owner and injuring 14 other people, the state Antara news agency said.
The son of the owner also died later in hospital, it added.
Six people, three of them soldiers, were injured after another bomb exploded in the Batumerah area of the city.
Two men riding a motorcycle threw a homemade bomb into a government truck carrying seven people including soldiers, Antara said.
The driver threw the bomb out and it exploded on the sidewalk, injuring a high-school student.
Local people, believing the bomb was thrown by someone in the truck, attacked it and injured five other people, including three soldiers. They also burned the truck before police intervened.
The Maluku islands have been ravaged by clashes between members of the Muslim and Christian communities since January 1999. Some 5,000 people have been killed and over half a million driven from their homes -- AFP
