A bomb blast caused minor damage to a water distribution facility in the Lebanese Bekaa town of Yammouneh on Tuesday, reported the Daily Star.

The explosion, which tore a 60-centimeter hole in the wall, did not affect the equipment inside, or interfere with water distribution to the Baalbek area.

However, area residents said the explosion was loud enough to be heard in several nearby towns.

A police investigation is underway, said the paper – Albawaba.com
