The BTC is a revival of erstwhile 12 years old Bombay Computer Club.  The new & charged-up BTC has been revived by a group of seasoned industry professionals, namely, Atul Nishar, Chairman of Hexaware Technologies; Hanuman Tripathi, CEO of Infrasoft Technologies Limited, Nanik Rupani, Chairman of Adino Group; Raj Saraf, Chairman of Zenith Computers and Vijaymukhi, the expert on Cyber Technology.

Mumbai Police Commissioner, A.N. Roy, Javed Ahmed, DIG of Maharastra Police and Kamal Kashyap, the ex-DGP Police, Maharashtra & Chairman of Forum for Information Security & Technology(FIST) also joined the network of IT interested CEOs.  Presence of bollywood veteran, Shammi Kapoor who was the Founder Chairman of the Internet Users Community in India added colour to the evening.  Bharat Dabholkar, an Ad-man and Director of “Why Not Communications” and Nitish Bharadwaj, of well known “Krishna" fame were also present at the event, as ardent supporter & users of IT.

Hanuman Tripathi, CEO, Infrasoft Technologies said, “ BCC was missed by all of us for five years now and I have been pushing my senior IT Industry colleagues to commence the new avatar BTC for some time now.  I am glad we have re-launched BTC and InfrasoftTech is even happier to have hosted the inaugural get together.  He said that there is no other free breathing platform for IT Interested CEOs in Mumbai, other than Bombay Technology Club, that boasts of No Agenda and No Speeches and thus No Posturing.

Atul Nishar, Harish Mehta, Raj Saraf and Vijaymukhi, were all very thrilled to have re-started BTC and said they see a huge success for BTC in future.  Shammi Kapoor said that he felt nostalgic and honored at the same time, to see IT industry CEOs remembering him so well after long years.  A.N. Roy said that he wishes well for the great Police-Corporate Partnership that is emerging and expects it to play bigger & vital role, to make Mumbai a Cyber Safe city for it’s common citizens.  In fact, A.N. Roy a few weeks back had announced formation of Mumbai Police ePanchayat, platform of IT professionals in specialized areas, to who general public & also the police can approach to gain know-how to track an electronic crime.  Both Nanik Rupani and  Vijay Kalantri said that BTC holds a promising future.
