BP, the oil & gas major, is participating at the World Energy and Chemicals Exhibition in Kuwait from the 22nd until the 25th October 2007 held under the patronage of H.H The Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al – Jaber Al - Sabah.
At its state-of-the-art exhibition stand BP will introduce for the first time to the Middle East, interactive Multi-Touch Screen technology, giving delegates the opportunity to use the touch screens to rapidly select and view a number of BP presentations.
BP will showcase its use of technology in today’s oil business. At regular intervals during the event a six-minute live presentation will be given at the BP stand setting out the ‘BP Story’. The presentation will demonstrate BP’s expertise in difficult hydrocarbons discoveries, tight and sour gas, achieving extraordinary oil recovery in mature giant fields, hydrogen power and carbon capture & storage for alternative energy, with a focus on the Middle East region.
“Most of the region’s new oil will come from challenging sources which require the deployment of leading technological solutions that encourage extraordinary oil recovery and prolong the life of giant oil fields. These are two areas where BP has an internationally proven track record and expertise,” said Dr Tim Marchant, BP Kuwait’s President.
The Multi-Touch screen technology used for the presentations will allow the presenter to activate embedded pre-programmed videos and graphic sequences, which can be easily switched between different chapters by using just hand gestures.
BP is a committed partner to Middle Eastern communities and at its exhibition stand it will also demonstrate its latest local developments, knowledge transfer initiatives and how BP works with partners to mutual advantage.
