Brazil destroyed Wales 3-0 in an international friendly match at Cardiff Arms Park Tuesday.
Wales’s player Ryan Giggs pulled out of the match just an hour before kick-off with a thigh problem - a huge disappointment to the 72,500 sell-out crowd.
The game was scoreless at halftime as the Welsh managed to hold the South Americans, but in the second half, three goals in 11 minutes from Elber, Cafu and Rivaldo awarded Brazil the match.
Brazil will play England in a friendly at Wembley on Saturday.
Cafu was not so enamored with a cynical body challenge by John Robinson, which clearly angered the Roma man. There was no apology from the Welsh player - indeed manager Mark Hughes had warned that, if Wales stood in awe of the 1998 World Cup finalists, it could be a rout. Swansea goalkeeper Roger Freestone, handed his debut in front of the 72,500 full house, made a splendid save after smart interplay had let in Rivaldo - (Several Sources)
