David Cameron has said the UK is committed to working with the US to "destroy" the so-called Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
Speaking to NBC's Meet the Press, the prime minister said Britain would continue to support US efforts in Syria and that he wants Britain "to do more" to tackle the militant group.
Cameron said: "Be in no doubt, we're committed to working with you [the US] to destroy the caliphate in both countries."
While the UK, alongside the US and allied forces, is conducting air strikes against Islamic State targets in Iraq, Britain is providing only logistical support in Syria .
Parliament voted against taking military action on Syria in 2013, although recent revelations show that British military personnel embedded with allied forces have been involved in bombing attacks on Syria.
