The British embassy in Bahrain has finalized the arrangements for a red carpet reception for Britain’s Royal couple, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie Rhys-Jones, who will arrive in Manama on Saturday on a three-day visit.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex will visit the Batelco Head Office in Hamala, the Bahrain Training Institute, St. Christopher School, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance and Al Fateh Mosque, said the Bahrain Tribune.
“The visit of the Royal couple is reflective of the close ties between Bahrain and the UK,” a statement said.
It is the first visit of the Royal couple to a Middle East country, said the paper, adding that the couple will leave for Doha on Tuesday – Albawaba.com
