29-year-old John Page, a British tourist in Jordan, was not able to identify 15 and 16-year old boys who had confessed to robbing and stabbing him, said a British official who asked for anonymity Monday.
A diplomat from the British embassy in Jordan told Albawaba.com that the embassy would accept the report of the Jordanian police, he, too, asked not to be identified.
The Jordanian police earlier this week declared that the two boys, short on money, attempted to rob the tourist and then stabbed him.
The source added that John Page does not recall that he was asked for money before he was attacked by the boys.
Meanwhile, Page left Jordan heading for London on board the Royal Jordanian flight after attending a reception held in his honor by the Minister of Tourism who made sure that Page got first class seat on RJ -- Albawaba.com
