Brother Gulf unveils latest range of Multifunction Centres
Introduction of state-of-the-art devices follows manufacturer’s unveiling of the world’s first A3 colour inkjet MFC
Brother Gulf, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of printing, communication and digital imaging products for homes, SOHOs and enterprises, has unveiled 11 new inkjet Multifunction Centres (MFCs) - nine for the home and SOHO, and two for the SMB segment - in line with its aims to further strengthen its current range of product offerings for the region. The introduction of the state-of-the-art devices follows the manufacturer’s recent unveiling of the world’s first A3 colour inkjet MFC during GITEX 2008, where a preview of the new MFCs had been conducted for dealers, distributors as well as corporate and individual end-users.
As the pioneer of the Multifunction Centre concept, Brother ensures the reliability and cost-efficiency of its latest products, which include the following models: DCP-165C, DCP-185C, DCP-385C, DCP-585CW, MFC-250C, MFC-290C, MFC-490CW, MFC-790CW, MFC-990CW, MFC-6490CW and the DCP-6690CW. The latest range of MFCs incorporate technology-driven features and functions such as higher printing speeds, direct printing from USB and media cards, photo printing, wireless networking, easy-to-read widescreen LCD display and intuitive controls. In addition, the manufacturer is also offering a new range of affordable wireless network-ready devices that are designed for modern homes and SMB users.
“Our sizeable investment in product development has helped us come up with the most innovative printing equipment in the market today,” said Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother Gulf. “The launch of these new devices underlines our commitment to provide a wide range of products, which gives our customers an opportunity to pick the equipment that best meet their requirements. Our product development team is also channelling much of our resources to decrease the cost of ownership of our products, which has led to the introduction of devices with individual ink cartridges for each colour, and other features such as reduced droplets size to 1.5 pico liters for consistently good photo prints. This continues to drive our popularity among users from homes, and SOHO’s.“
In addition to its technologically advanced products, Brother has also built its extensive reach in the Middle East market thought its robust distributor network and channel partners, with whom the manufacturer is working closely, to promote the usage of genuine Brother consumables. Brother has also hosted a distributor meet and an awards ceremony, which recognised its most commendable channel partners and authorised distributors in the region, in conjunction with its presence at the recent GITEX 2008. To date, Brother Gulf has a total of 52 regional distributors, 14 of whom have emerged as the top channel partners, including leading companies from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
“A major component of our distribution strategy across the Middle East is our strong channel partner network, which has played a remarkable role in our continued success in the region. Consequently, we are very keen on partnering with leading regional distributors, who can benefit from the continuous Product Service and Sales Training we provide for our partners. We truly value their contribution to our overall growth, and we believe that they will be integral in the success of these new products, which we have launched in the region,” concluded Ranjit S. Gurkar, General Manager, Brother Gulf.
In the Middle East, Brother Gulf is continuously developing new technologies to incorporate more innovative and high-technology features within its products. Driven by the positive outlook on the growth of Colour Laser Printers and MFCs in the region, Brother Gulf has registered 95 per cent growth in the second quarter of 2008 for its MFC business. In the UAE the company has also posted 25 per cent and 119 per cent growth rates for the Mono laser MFC and Printer segments respectively.
