Jabra, a leading brand of audio products for the mobile consumer market, today announced the release of the Jabra BT500v in the Middle East, the latest version of Jabra’s award-winning Bluetooth Behind-The-Ear (BTE) headset design. With an extended talk time of up to 12 hours and standby time of up to 300 hours, the Jabra BT500v continues to lead the way in headset performance, design and optimal comfort.
Ranking as one of the best performing headset designs on the market, the Jabra BT500v is one of the thinnest BTE headsets and weighs just 19 grams. It features state-of-the-art technology including a vibrating alert function that silently informs users that they are receiving an incoming call. A one-touch pairing button ensures simple connectivity, and the multi-coloured LEDs that light up to indicate connection and battery charging status. A mute function lets users temporarily silence the microphone to speak with someone else or block out sudden noise.
The styling and contoured lines of the Jabra BT500v offer the ultimate in discrete headset design. The black metallic finish extends to the chrome microphone boom arm which curves from behind the ear and along the jaw line. Each headset comes with different sized Jabra MiniGels™ that channel sound directly into the ear for superior clarity and reception.
“The Jabra BT500v not only looks good, but also has all the features you would expect in a high performance headset”, said Ahmed Elkalliny, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Jabra, MEA “We’ve continued to develop and improve our Behind-the-Ear headset design and have incorporated both the technology and performance of earlier versions into the new Jabra BT500v. The end result is a sleek, lightweight headset that’s built for comfort and great usability.”
The Jabra range of BTE headsets have achieved international recognition winning a number of industry awards including ‘Best of Consumer Electronics Show Contest’ for the Jabra BT500, as well as awards from iF design, reddot, T3, Mobile Choice and Auto Express magazines.
The Jabra BT500v supports Bluetooth 1.2 and 1.1 Bluetooth-enabled devices including headset and hands-free profiles. The Jabra BT500v can be paired with up to eight devices, such as a mobile phone, smart phone or PC so users can easily switch between devices. Users also have the option of charging from an AC adaptor or directly from a PC via a USB adaptor.
