BUPA Middle East, the Kingdom’s leading international private health insurer, has scored another first in the medical insurance industry with the launch an online customer service platform dedicated to its individual members in Saudi Arabia. The new online service allows BUPA Middle East members to view information and to perform transactions through its website www.bupa.com.sa.

Much like accessing your bank account using the internet, the new online service allows members to check their benefit coverage and limits, and view a complete list of the BUPA approved network of hospitals and clinics inside and outside of Saudi Arabia.

Members can also follow up on pre-authorisation requests and track reimbursement claims online. In addition, they have the option to print membership certificates which they can use to obtain medical services within their network in the event of lost membership cards.

This online service is available to all current BUPA Middle East members by simply visiting the website and registering by using their personal membership number.  With this new service members have full and secure access to their personal information.

Commenting on the launch, "BUPA Middle East Managing Director Tal Nazer said "This new electronic service empowers our members to transact directly with BUPA at any time that is convenient for them and in the comfort of their homes."

Going on to explain the business objective behind this project, Tal Nazer said, “Innovation is one reason why we are the leaders of the health insurance industry and we are proud to be the first to use online technology to offer our customers a modern, faster way of service delivery. With full implementation of the new health insurance regulations underway the market will continue to grow and BUPA Middle East’s online service is part of our overall strategy to maintain our position as a premium service provider.”

Tal went on to say, "Once again we have raised the bar and set an even higher standard of customer service. Furthermore, it is our intention to continuously update our online platform and offer new features to enhance the services that we provide for BUPA Middle East members."
