To mark the tenth and final week of Dubai Summer Surprises 2007, BurJuman, Dubai's most luxurious shopping destination, will host Knowledge Surprises from the 23rd – 31st August. This 7-day celebration of knowledge is based on the theme of 'edutainment' or education combined with entertainment.
Similar to the previous nine summer surprises, Knowledge Surprises guarantees excitement for children of all ages, giving them the unique opportunity to learn through practical activities and have lots of fun along the way.
“Over the next week, the mall will be transformed into a house of knowledge with exciting activities designed to keep children engaged for hours by expanding their imagination and fueling their creativity,” said Sabina Khandwani, head of PR and marketing, BurJuman.
Included in the spectacular line up of events are a Genetics Exhibition and associated activities, a Machine and Mechanism workshop, a Physics Phenomena Exhibition, and a Star Lab. The Star Lab is sure to generate excitement among children, particularly budding astronauts as it allows them to crawl into the Star Lab and watch the planets. The events, which have a primarily scientific emphasis, will run daily from 5pm – 10pm.
The activities planned for Knowledge Surprises, the final week of DSS, aim to help children seek, explore, and learn about a wide range of topics that includes science, technology, history, art, and current affairs.
BurJuman is also participating in the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) exciting summer promotion, “Shop and Win Millions,” offering shoppers who spend AED 200 the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the raffle draw and win cash prizes worth AED 500,000 every week for the remaining weeks of the DSS extravaganza.
