One Week Filled with Laughter and Entertainment at the Region’s Most Luxurious Shopping Destination
This week, BurJuman will host a series of fun and comic acts to keep everyone smiling for hours during Comedy Surprises, as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) running from 19 – 25 July.
Throughout the week, spectators will be treated to a series of comedy workshops and exhibitions everyday from 4:00 pm to 10:00pm, with the much-anticipated Comedy Interactive Workshop anticipated to be the highlight of each day, keeping spectators entertained for hours!
Starting with a short history lesson on the evolution of comedy, shoppers will be offered a brief, fun and interactive tutorial that children and adults alike will enjoy. Comedy has always been an entertaining social factor in all societies, with origins dating back to the ancient days of Greek civilization. Today, comedy takes different shapes and forms, ranging from stand-up and improvisation, to impersonation and theatre.
In addition to the workshops, the main stage will present a set of mimicking comedy characters, comedy expressions and a clowning demonstration featuring the NIKA clown duo act. A comedy quiz, comedy sketches and a series of juggling and ventriloquist activities are also scheduled for the week.
