US President George W. Bush is due to make his first visit as president to Israel and the Palestinian territories between January 10 and 13, Palestinian officials said on Wednesday. "The visit is due to take place between January 10 and 13," an official told AFP.
The White House announced late on Tuesday that Bush will visit the Middle East in early January. "The president will go to the Middle East region in early January. Details to come," said US National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe.
Bush also visited Israel in 1998 while serving as governor of Texas.
